Virginia Metro is a highly competitive lacrosse club for players that strive to play at a top-level in the future. Our teams consist of the top girls from around the greater Metro region. We have a truly amazing bunch of players that have fun while being successful. We believe in developing the whole athlete to give our players the keys to future success on and off the field.

The Fall season begins in September and ends before Thanksgiving. In the Fall all teams practice, condition, or play games 1-2X week and attend 3 tournaments. Practices are held in the Vienna/Oakton or nearby fields. Players may have the option of playing in a Fall league on Friday nights/Saturdays. During the Winter teams have the option to participate in a "game only" indoor league either in VA or MD (winter session is recommended but, not mandatory). In the Summer VA Metro teams also practice 8-14 times as well as attend 3-4 tournaments. Teams may also decide to attend a summer lacrosse team camp together. 

Lacrosse is a team sport. Virginia Metro wants players who are committed to their teams and the Club and have the desire to work hard to achieve their goals. Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments during the fall and summer months. VA Metro teams have a break from late July and August for vacation. We understand there are family weddings, religious events, and other commitments that players will have to miss lacrosse to attend. So, these will be viewed as excused absences with prior notice to the coaches. 

To ensure all our players have the same commitment level, we reserve the right to dismiss players that miss multiple practices, tournaments, or have shown they are not fully committed. No refunds will be given for missed practices, tournaments, or if players are dismissed from the club due to commitment level or any other reason.

Players are expected to show respect to the game of lacrosse, their teammates, referees, and coaches at all times.
